On Darwin Road

On Darwin Road explores the the relationship between memory, temporality and site. Presenting spaces scattered along the Thames estuary in Essex, the film is both the artist attempting to reconnect with the landscape of his childhood and an examination of the state of flux these sites represent. Fragmentary in nature, the images and text remain incomplete and disconnected, with gaps and slippages between past, present and future. Through this exploration of both presence and absence, the film seeks to affirm the utopian possibility of the landscape as it ought to be.
